De La Salle Brothers

We are De La Salle Brothers (Frères des Écoles Chrétiennes), a Catholic lay religious congregation of pontifical right for men, founded in France

in 1680 by Saint Jean Baptiste De La Salle. Our mission is education, carried out through schools and educational works that respond to the real needs

Our Founder

Our Founder

Saint Jean Baptiste De La Salle (1651–1719), patron saint of teachers, revolutionized education by creating a network of schools accessible to all, training teachers, and establishing teaching communities. His vision continues to inspire our work today.
